Green Soccer Kit | As It is In Heaven | Mexico Green

Every 4 years, the world's biggest soccer tournament takes place,
and this time it’s in my country and in my city.

Living in the Dallas area during the World Cup has been fascinating. Everywhere I go…I hear different languages. People from all over the world are here, learning our customs, eating our food, and meeting our neighbors.

And despite what we’re constantly told in the media (social media included), most of them don’t hate America. They’re enjoying it. They’re embracing it. We got homies from all over the world destroying brisket and ribs (beef ribs, the Texas kind) all throughout the city. Man, that is so freaking cool.

I love that.

I also love America. It gave my family opportunities they never would have had otherwise. But America won’t save the world.

My parents are from Mexico. I’m 100% Mexican by blood, and I’m grateful for the culture that shaped my family.

But Mexico won’t save the world either.

No nation will.

Every kingdom we’ve ever built is temporary.

There is only one King whose kingdom will never end.

One name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

One kingdom that is coming, not to erase the nations, but to heal them. LORD COME.

Maybe that’s why the World Cup stirs something in us. at least in me it does.

It’s almost like deep down, we know we’re made for a day when people from every nation aren’t merely visiting one another…

They’re worshiping the same King together.
