Revelation shows a real Cosmic Dragon at war with God’s people. He is the ancient serpent, the great deceiver, Satan. And the way we overcome him is not violence. Not coercion. Not domination. It’s through “the blood of the Lamb… the word of their testimony… and they loved not their lives even unto death.” (Rev. 12:11) That is what St. George did in the truest sense. He did not take life to spread the gospel. He gave up his own, just like Jesus.
